Conduct an Equipment Inspection with the Desktop Site

OVERVIEW:

Most often, Equipment Inspections are performed using the Safety Indicators Mobile App on a cellphone. However, if there is a desktop or laptop computer nearby, here are the steps for using the Safety Indicators Desktop site.

GETTING STARTED  

1. Click Tasks in the left menu
2. Click the large icon on the left of the Equipment Inspections card

CONDUCTING THE INSPECTION  

STEP 1

1. In the list of Equipment Inspections, find and double-click the item you are about to Inspect
   Filters can be used to narrow down the list, making it easier to find a specific item.

STEP 2

In the Equipment Inspection window, Details (in the left menu) will be selected by default.

1. Check to see that all the information is correct and complete
2. In the left menu, click Questions to begin the Inspection

STEP 3

1. For the first Question, click in the Response field. Then answer the Question, for this piece of equipment
   Optionally, you may add additional pertinent information in the Notes field.
   1. Continue this process, which is similar to an Audit, until all the questions are answered. You may need to scroll and/or go to subsequent pages to access all the inspection questions.
2. When done, click the green Save/Disk icon at the top to save your inspection responses. That’s it, you’re done.
