INTRODUCTION:
Not all findings discovered during routine Audits require a formal course of Corrective Action. But when they do, the issue is documented. When someone is Assigned to undertake that Corrective Action by a due date, it is now considered a Task in the Safety Indicators system.
BRINGING UP THE UNSATISFACTORY AUDIT ANSWER
STEP 1
- In the left menu, click Tasks
- Click the large icon in the Audits card
- From the list of current Audits, find and double-click the relevant item to open it

• Note that the list may have more than one page; use the page navigation tools at bottom left.
• If needed to narrow down the list, use the Filters function at upper left, or the Search box at upper right.

STEP 2
- In the left menu, click Questions.
- Find the question with the unsatisfactory Audit Response and select it with just one click.
- Click the Task icon at top – the clipboard with a checkmark inside.
ASSIGNING THE TASK
STEP 1
- In the Summary Title field of the Add Task window, type in a brief name for this task
- In the Due Date field, click the Calendar icon to select a date for Task completion
- In the Assignee field, click the down-arrow to select the person who will perform the task
- Optionally, In the Description and Resolution fields, you can add notes to help guide the Assignee
- Optionally, in the Stakeholders field, you can select people who need to be kept in the loop on this issue
- At the bottom, click Save, then close out of the Task window and Audit windows
NEED TO KNOW:
• After refreshing the browser, that Audit in List View will show a red Task icon next to the status bar.
• Completing these steps triggers the Corrective Action workflow in the separate Tasks Module.
• The Task Assignee will receive an email. They will enter a Close Date when the Task has been completed.
• You, and the Assignee and Stakeholders you selected, will be in the loop for relevant Communications.
• A supervisor with the proper Permissions can use the down-arrow to change an Audit Status in List View
